THE NEW YORK GIANTS PLAY THE DENVER BRONCOS ON SUNDAY, OCT. 15 IN NFL WEEK 6 ON SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. HERE IS ALL THE INFO YOU NEED TO WATCH !

It may not be the match-up we all expected when the schedule was released, but the 3-1 Denver Broncos will host the 0-5 New York Giants on Sunday Night Football in Week 6 nonetheless. Denver should be refreshed after a week off, but the Giants are in a world of hurt currently — and not just because of their winless record.

After going 11-5 in 2016, the Giants thought they could be even better this season. They returned their core from their stout defensive team and added a couple big hitters to the offense. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall was signed and they drafted tight end Evan Engram. Even with them being added to the offense with receivers Odell Beckham, Jr. and Sterling Shepard, the struggles continued.

Now they’ve lost both Beckham and Marshall for the season to ankle injuries that required surgery and Shepard also has an ankle injury — although he avoided surgery. The lack of receivers is always tough, but more so when going against the shut-down “No Fly Zone” defense of the Broncos.

This unit is led by corners Aqib Talib and Chris Harris, Jr. who excel at shutting down the best pass catchers in the league. Making it more difficult is how quickly they get after the quarterback with stars like edge rusher Von Miller. This one could get ugly as the Broncos strength is going up against the Giants biggest weakness.

It would be shocking to see the Giants come out and find a way to light things up against the Broncos, but their quarterback has shocked us all before. Tune in to see if two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning can save some face for the G-Men this season against a stingy Broncos defense on Sunday Night Football.

TEAM NEWS:

For the Giants, life without Odell Beckham Jr. begins with a matchup against the best defense in the NFL. The Broncos (3-1) host the Giants (0-5), who will be without their star receiver after he suffered a fractured ankle in New York’s loss to the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. Three other Giants receivers—Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Dwayne Harris—were also injured during that game, and Beckham Jr, Harris and Marshall are expected to miss the entire season. There’s a chance Shepard will play, and New York will rely on Roger Lewis Jr., the newly signed Tavarres King, Travis Rudolph and Ed Eagan, both of whom were signed off the practice squad, to make plays for Eli Manning.

Denver, on the other hand, is coming off its bye week and the defense appears to be in Super Bowl form. Through five weeks, Denver leads the league in rush defense (50.8 YPG) and overall defense (260.8 YPG), while C.J. Anderson and Jamaal Charles have anchored the league’s third best rushing attack.
